Hey everyone! We want to thank you for your continued prayers and support. The Covid lockdown/ quarantine has limited what we can accomplish each day but as Leticia slowly opens we wanted to update you on some things we have been able to do in the last month.
-The monthly food program has continued at La Aljaba in support of our families and neighbors
-Samaritans Purse hosted “Operation Christmas Child” at La Aljaba for our children.
-Our tutors have been doing house visits at all of our children’s homes in order to check on their well being and ensure that the their schoolwork is being completed
-Tutoring has continued for 10-15 children, at La Aljaba on a daily basis
-We hosted a field day for the kids last month
-Fundraising is taking place for La Aljaba in the states
We apologize for any lack of updates through our social media. We have been having some technical issues with our Facebook account. We are frequently posting but Facebook has restricted viewers from seeing the posts in their newsfeed. We are trying to resolve the issue with Facebook but you are still able to see the posts by manually going to our Facebook page.
We pray you all have stayed safe and healthy during these strange times. We are so grateful for your continued support and prayers in the midst of a pandemic. These are weird times for us all and we look forward to life going back to normal. The school year is almost over here in Leticia and we hope La Aljaba will look more normal come February when the new school year begins.
Below you will see a list of some specific prayer requests. Thank you again for your love for La Aljaba!
Michael and Julie Hogue
-Our teens are having a small camp for 2 days at the end of the month. Pray they are able to participate and that their hearts are open to hearing the Word
-Pray our kids finish the last month of ‘cyber’ school strong
-Pray that ministry can return to normal soon
-La Aljaba is in great need of monthly donors. Please pray the Lord provides as we (The Hogue family) fundraise in the states.
This blog is written to share the love of Jesus and how He uses us to care for the needs of the children of La Aljaba.
